Well, its Wednesday here in the United States and we, yet again, have another police shooting of a “Black” man resisting arrest that ALMOST resulted in the death of another human being (Jacob Blake). To say this is a rare thing as of late would be misleading. I’m not gonna sit here and write who is to blame for this particular incident on: Mr. Blake OR the police officers involved. That wouldn’t help the reason of me writing you today on WHY we are at this point in history. I want to, instead, talk about HOW we got here.
This violence boils down to YEARS of falling away from #TheLord and “Doing what is right in our own eyes”(a). I believe that this problem started 50 years ago during the 70s “Sexual Revolution”, stick with me here… I’m going somewhere with this.
This #Nation was founded on the foundation of #God and a #Judeo-Christian values. I’m not saying that the #FoundingFathers were #FollowersOfJesusChrist; I think the majority were NOT. But they DID understand that a good healthy #Fear of God would be the only thing that would make this experiment we call a #ConstitutionalRepublic successful. When the #Puritans traveled here from the old world, they definitely came so they wouldn’t have to pay taxes and pledge loyalty to the #CatholicChurch, and the founding fathers kept that in mind when drafting the #USConstitution i.e. “Separation of Church and State”. They also knew that a house built on a rock will stand where a house built on sand would quickly crumble when storms came (b).
We were a “God Fearing” nation for hundred of years, despite the #Evils of sinful decisions made by #America and Americans, in general. #Sins like slavery of the Africans 1619-1865, genocide of the American Indians 1784-1937 (Ballpark), and the internment of Japanese Americans during WW2 1942-1946. These evil and almost unforgiveable actions COULD have (and maybe SHOULD have) doomed us as a nation. God knows, the #Israelites where punished for MUCH less.
But God showed us favor and allowed us to thrive despite our shameful acts. But, The Lord disciplines the one He loves (c), and He’ll only allow so much sin before He gives us over to those sins (d).
In the book of #Romans, Paul writes about this very thing. Rome at the time, was the most powerful, educated and wealthy nation in the world. I believe WE are the Rome of this age. And we are going to fall just like Rome did. And, like I said earlier, I believe it started in the 70s. Let me quickly explain.
In Romans chapter 1, Paul talks about how there are some very faithful Romans and wishes to come and visit them soon. He goes on to say that there are many citizens who are indulging in all kinds of immoralities. He says that God has “given them over” to their sinful desires. Paul focuses on 3 sins that The Lord absolutely detests and is the reason He gave them over. These 3 things are:
1. Sexual Immorality
2. Homosexuality
3. Reprobate Mind
We, as a nation, are currently indulging in these 3 sins although these sins didn’t drop down on us all at once. In the 70s, we had the #SexualRevolution. In the 80s, we had the #HomosexualRevolution. And in the 2000s, we now say that a man can be a woman and vise-versa and call it natural to the point that if you disagree with that, you’re labeled #Transphobic. The sad thing is that the nation/state has introduced transsexuality in the classroom, indoctrinating our children while keeping God OUT of the classroom.
I’m not writing this to condemn anyone who partake in these 3 sins are evil people, if that was the case, I would have to condemn myself. But we, as humans, have a sinful nature that we’ve inherited form the beginning of the existence of man. I AM saying that, because we have tolerated these sins and made them something to be celebrated, I believe that The Lord has taken His mighty hands off this once great nation. Now, we see the results from this which is in the form of lawlessness and hatred between our brothers, mothers, fathers, sisters and friends. We cant even have a respectful conversation with disagreement without calling each other, #Racist, #Homophobic, #Transphobic, etc.
We’ve lost what once made us so great; a healthy fear of The Lord and a righteous desire to please Him as a whole. We’ve lost what we were meant for. A deep and personal relationship with our Creator and if we continue down this wide path, destruction is right around the corner (e). Here’s my favorite part of all my studies….. BUT GOD!
But God is a merciful God, not only a Just God. If He was only Just without Mercy, we would NEVER get back in the good standing with Him and would spend eternity in the “lake of fire”. But we have a Father who loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to take all our sins and all our impurities and be sacrificed on a cross so that we can be redeemed (f)! Its not too late! We need a #Revival like we’ve never needed it before, and it starts with YOU. It starts with ME. It starts with US.
Evil is rampant in this nation as people are being influenced to steal, kill, resist and destroy. But God says:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PROMISE!!
I don’t know about you, but I see nothing but joy, peace and prosperity for this nation if we just turn from our wicked ways and pray AS a nation FOR the nation! I’m writing this for you and for me. I need to do this as well, and I’m going to start today! Will you pray with me? Bow your head now and say a quick prayer wherever you are, and when you get home, pray again!
Don’t let this year be the end of this United States. Lets turn back to the One Who knew us, even BEFORE we were formed in the womb (g)! Let this day be THE day that it all turned around! Be safe today, and love you lots!
Amen!

d) “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”
